Enugu LG poll: Nsukka records peaceful election
The Enugu State local government council election on Saturday, September 21st was peaceful in all the polling units monitored by our correspondent. However, the distribution of election material started at about 10:38 am while voting started in some polling boots at about 11:00 am. Some of the voters who spoke with our reporter noted that the voting process was peaceful and transparent as they cast their vote without harassment or intimidation by anybody. Speaking shortly after casting his vote, Chief Jude Asogwa, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in the election thanked the residents for coming out en mass to exercise their franchise. Asogwa, who voted at about 12:05 am at Otobo-Odoro pulling units, Nkpunano ward expressed his satisfaction with the electoral process, and Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) for organizing a free, fair, and transparent election. The PDP candidate noted that he would accept the outcome of the election
