Ooni, Ezeife, Rabadu, Dokpesi others to grace Zik's leadership award in Abuja

His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan the Ooni of Ife, will be  among dignitaries expected to grace 2021 Zik's Leadership Merit Award that will hold at Shehu Musa Yar'udua Centre Abuja on November 16.

Mr Chinamer Onyeke the Director General of Igbo Nsukka United Front (INUF) whose organisation is organizing the Zik Leadership Merit Award  stated this in Nsukka on Sunday while speaking with newsmen.

Onyeke said the event that would confer Zik's Leadership Merit Award on Mr Goodluck Jonathan, the  former President of the country and other prominent Nigerians, in recognition of their immense contributions to the country and humanity.

According to him, the event would also install as patrons, Oni of Ife, Mr Chukwuemeka Ezeife former Governor of Anambra State, Mr Nuhu Rabadu former Chairman of Economic Financial Crime  Commission (EFCC), Mr Raymond Dokpesi the Media Giant and owner of AIT, Sen Ayogu Eze former Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District while Queen mother Amina Temitope (Mama Diaspora), would be installed would decorated as  matron of INUF.

The D-G disclosed that some dignitaries expected to be in the occasion include: Hon Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada, Mr Silas Nwaoha and Sir Chukwendu Udensi among others.

Onyeke explained that those selected for the Zik leadership award as well as patrons and matron of INUF were selected  based on their enviable  track records, pedigrees as well as their contributions to the country and humanity.

"The event is conceptualised and designed to honour and preserve the legacies of Nigerian's first President and Great Nationalist , Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe,who gave his best to Nigeria.

"This is the reason why the theme  of the event  is, " Preserving Zik's Legacies for National Unity," Onyeke said.

The DG  announced that, Prof Yemi Osibanjo the Vice-president of the country would be the  Special Guest of Honour while  Alhaji Yahaya Abubukar, the Etsu Nupe would chair the occasion.

He said the event would start  by 10.am  at Shehu Musa Yar'udua Centre Abuja on Tuesday November 16, 2021.

The  DG said that, INUF is a  non political organisation that had its membership from the  six Local Government Areas that made up Enugu North Senatorial District.
Nsukka people  would continue to celebrate Zik, of the blessed memory because of the special love he had for Nsukka people.
 
"Not only that late Zik lived part of his life  at Onuiyi Nsukka In Nsukka LG but he sited the first indigenous and prestigious university of the country, University of Nigeria Nsukka to demonstrate the volume of love and care he had for Nsukka people.

"Nsukka people will continue  to celebrate and honour the late nationalist and first President of Nigeria,  popularly known as Zik of Africa," he said.
