Nsukka Beauty Pageant Contest Goes National Says OCO World

Mr. Celestine Okwudili, the Chief Executive Officer of OCO World, a business conglomerate says the 4th edition of Nsukka beauty contest is open to girls between the age bracket of 18 and 28 in the country.

Okwudili who is the Sponsor of Nsukka Beauty contest, disclosed this in a press briefing in Nsukka on Saturday  during the Official Unveiling of Miss  Chizoba Okolie the crowned winner of Miss Nsukka contest in 2021.

He said OCO World having done the first, second and third editions of Nsukka beauty contest for girls in Enugu North senatorial district, decides that;

"From this fourth edition the contest  is now a national affair for girls within the  approved age bracket.

"Whosever emerges the winner irrespective of her tribe or state of origin will be crowned Miss Nsukka.

"This will help to promote unity as well as preach the gospel that  we are one Nigeia irrespective of tribe or state of origin," he said.

Okwudili whose business outfits include OCO World Estate, OCO World Entertainment, OCO World Media said his aim of annual sponsoring of Nsukka beauty contest was to promote Nsukka cultural heritage.

He said as well as give girls in the district platform to showcase their beauty nationally and internationally.

"Now this platform has been extended to all girls in the country it's an opportunity for girls to package and showcase their beauty and talents," he said.

"Every year we look out for a young lady that will stand out in terms of beauty and intelligence.

"Our target is not just a good looking girl, but one who will serve as a role model for girls globally wearing Nsukka beauty queen crown," he said.

The business Mogul said 2022 edition winner will smile home with brand new Toyota Spider, one week international tourist trip to Dubia plus other incentives packaged for her.

"2nd runner-up will get N500,000 with tourist trip Obudu Ranch in Cross River State in Nigeria.

"While 3rd runner-up will be given N300,000 and N100,000 each will be given to other six contestants as consolation prize," he said.

He expressed happiness that past Nsukka beauty queens used their pet project to impact positively on their fellow girls in particular and Enugu North district residents in general.

"Okolie has already started her own pet project tailored towards assisting girl-child in the area to have more access to primary school education," he said.

Speaking, Mr Anyanso Ezekiel, the Event Manager for the 2022 contest said that the registration forms is already on sales for N7000 and is available in most leading stores, cyber cafes, supermarkets , OCO World websites as well as Bet9ja outlets in the country.

Ezekiel assured contestants and general public that the contest would be transperent as judges that would judge  contestants would be men and women of proven integrity.
