UNN's Faculty holds Int'l Conference on Sustainable Engineering, Industry Technology

By Ikemefuna Ikem The Faculty of Engineering, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has concluded plans to host an international conference to discuss the practice of designing products and processes that drive material and energy efficiencies to minimize their environmental impact. The international conference tagged “3rd Sustainable Engineering and Industrial Technology Conference (SEITC), would hold between 22nd -25th August, 2023, at the Faculty of Engineering, UNN. Briefing newsmen in Nsukka on Tuesday, Prof. Emenike Ejiogu, the Dean, Faculty of Engineering, UNN said that the conference would provide opportunities for industry and academia participants to jointly examine, explore and critically engage in issues of sustainability in the areas of sustainable Engineering and Industry Technology. Scholarship: 60 UNN indigent undergraduates gets financial assistance from philanthropist

By Agency Report Soccour has come the way of 60 indigents undergraduate from Delta State in University of Nigeria, Nsukka  as they received N50,000  cash financial assistance each from a philanthropist. Presenting the scholarship certificate and the sum of N50,000 cash to the beneficiaries in Nsukka, Prof. Ike Onyishi, Dean, Faculty of Social Science, UNN urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the money was used on what it was meant for. Onyishi said the objective of  Chief Jude Ozah, the "Isagba of Ogbashi-Uku kingdom in Delta State for instituting the financial assistance was help to help indigent undergraduates of Delta State origin to fund their education. Conference: Security experts want leaders to give security more attention than election campaigns

Kwaja a lecturer and researcher said this in a keynote on Monday in Nsukka during faculty of Social Science, University of Nigeria Nsukka hybrid annual international conference titled "Democracy, Security and Development". He expressed concern on how political class in the country invests so much money and energy in campaigning to win elections but spent little in security and good governance. Igwe Ogadagidi assures Hausa community of inter-ethnic harmony

By Ikemefuna Ikem The traditional ruler of Edem-Ani community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, HRH Igwe Samuel Asadu (Igwe Ogadagidi) has said that he will partner with the leaders of Hausa community in the state to enhance inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony. Igwe Asadu gave the assurance in Nsukka on Wednesday when Alhaji Abubakar Sambo, the (Sarki Hausawa) leader of Hausa community in Enugu State paid him a courtesy visit to his palace in the Edem-Ani community. He said that he will always use his position as a traditional ruler to entrench better understanding and tolerance amongst Nigerians of different ethnic groups in his community and the entire country to promote peace, unity, neighbourliness, and love for one another. "We have to use our positions as the leaders of the people to promote peaceful coexistence among tribes in Nigeria, as well as respect each other's culture, religion, and ethnicity.
