LG boss vows to fish out pepetractors of Nsukka PDP meeting attack By Agency Reporter Chief Walter Ozioko, the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State has vowed that, all those involved in the attack  during Nsukka People Democratic Party (PDP) monthly meeting  last Saturday will surely be brought to justice. Ozioko disclosed this in Nsukka while speaking with newsmen on what happened on that fateful day. He said that, Nsukka council condenmed in its entirety the unleashing of mayhem on party faithful by suspected political thugs that led party members scampering for safety especially women  while some sustained injuries in the process. Enugu 2023 : Group Urges Gov Ugwuanyi To Sustain Zoning Arrangement To Ensure Peace, Equity  By Agency Reporter A socio-cultural group under the aegis of 'Nsukka Ezue' has urged Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State to maintain and sustain the governorship zoning arrangement in the state by picking his successor from Enugu East Senatorial Zone. The group whose members were drawn from the six Local Government Areas that made up Enugu North Senatorial zone disclosed this in a statement they issued on Friday in Nsukka after their meeting tagged "National Dialogue on 2023 Election," held  at Adada Hall, Nsukka LG council Headquarters. The statement which was signed by Prof Damian Opata , the chairman of Nsukka Ezue said that their current objective is to support the governorship zoning arrangement in the state to maintain peace fairness and equity. Jubilation As Foundation Handsover Six Classrooms Block To Enugu Govt By Agency Reporter Jubilation rented the air at Umuolo Primary School Opi-uno in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, when Julie Helping Hands Foundation handed over to Enugu State Government  the key of six classrooms new block built for the school. Speaking in Nsukka on Saturday Mrs Juliet Chuka-Onyema the Founder of the foundation said the cost of building the six classrooms was over N12m as all the classrooms have floor tiles, quality doors, windows and ceilings. "Materials used in the building are quality materials to ensure it lasts for many years. "Whatever thing my foundation is we use the because we have our name and intergrity to protect. Centre, UNNMC sensitise councilors on accountability By Agency Reporter Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies, Bayero University Kano (BUK) in collaboration with University of Nigeria Nsukka Muslim Community (UNNMC) on Monday sensitised newly inaugurated councilors in Enugu North senatorial district on the need to be accountable as elected councilors. In a remark, in Nsukka, Dr Mausu Saddiq, Director, UNNMC Anti-corruption Project, said the seminar was to sensitise new councilors to be accountable, transparent as well as fight corruption as elected representatives of the people. Our graduates will not be job seekers but job creators - College Provost By Agency Reporter Dr Pauline Ikwuegbu, Provost, Federal College of Education (FCE) Eha-Amufu  Enugu State, says the college's graduates will not be job seekers but job creators. Ikwuegbu disclosed this in the college on Wednesday during a press briefing,  as part of activities lined-up to mark the 33rd convocation  ceremony of the college, that would hold on Friday. She said that, the college would during 33rd  convocation graduates 1611 with Nigeria Certificate of Education (NCE) and 69 with Professional Diploma of Education (PDE) found worthy both in character and in learning. " These graduates of 2017 to 2021 sessions have aquired different skills in addition with their course of studies to enable them to be job creators instead of job seekers. "We are optimistic that they will help to reduce unemployment in the country as they will create employment opportunities for many," she said.

Scholarship : 69 UNN Indigent students get N50,000 cash By Agency Reporter Socour came the way of 69 Indigent under-graduates of University of Nigeria Nsukka,  Delta State origin on Thursday as they received  scholarship award of N50,000 cash each from a philanthropist. Prof Charles Igwe the Vice-chancellor of UNN in a remark Nsukka while presenting the scholarship certificate and N50,000 cash to beneficiaries thanked the donor, Chief Jude Ozah the Isagba of Ogbashi-Uku kingdom in Delta State for investing in education. Igwe who was represented by Prof Uju Muo, the Director of Academic Planning in the university, urged the beneficiaries to use the money for the purpose it was meant for in order to encourage the donor to invest more in education and humanity.
