Enugu new transport commissioner pledges to resuscitate ENTRCO

By Agency Reporter Chief Andy Omeje, the new Commissioner for Transport in Enugu State has pledged to resuscitate  the state owned transport company, Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRCO). Omeje who said this on Monday in Nsukka while  speaking with newsmen shortly after his meeting with Ebube Adada,  a social political group whose membership is drawn from Enugu North Senatorial District. The commissioner said he had identified challenges of the transport ministry and would go ahead to tackle them as soon as possible. The immediate past Council Chairman of Igboeze-South Local Government Area said he would first resuscitate and reinvigorate ENTRCO to bounce back to life because of its importance in transportation in the state and beyond. Varsities Mgt Responsible for crisis in Alumni Associations - Dr Agua-Onyekwelu

By Our Reporters Dr. Linda Agua-Onyekwelu, the Chief Executive Officer, Linda Agricultural Products and Services Ltd Lagos has alleged that some university managements in the country are responsible for crisis in Alumni Associations. Agua-Onyekwelu said this in Nsukka on Thursday in a remark during the  University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN),  Maiden Alumni Homecoming of Faculty of Biological Science. She said that as a result of the crisis many of that alumni feel reluctant donate to their Alma mater , hence they are not sure if their donations will be judiciously used for the development of the instructions. "Some of the universities in Nigeria, especially premier universities have alumni that are movers and shakers of the economy capable of taking their Alma mater to the next level in terms of infrastructural development . Aminu Kano Democratic Centre  urges councilors to say no to corruption By Our Reporter The Aminu Kano Centre for Democratic Studies (AKCDS) Monbayya House, Bayareo University Kano has urged councilors in Enugu West Senatorial District to say no to corruption while discharging their duties in order to impact positively on people who elected them. Mallam Abdulllahi Usman, the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer of the centre said this in Enugu on Tuesday during a sensitisation seminar for elected  councilors in the Enugu West district with the theme;  " Promoting Accountability and Anti-corruption Through Behavioural Approaches." UNN-SUG President sends SOS message to Gov Ugwuanyi By Our Reporter Mr Micheal Abuchi, President, Student Union Government (SUG) University of Nigeria Nsukka sends Save Our Soul (SOS) to Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State over the dilapidated roads leading to university first gate. Why I walked out from Nsukka/Igboeze-South House of Rep  PDP primary election - Asogwa By Our Reporter Chief Jude Asogwa, one of the Aspirants in  Nsukka/Igboeze-South Federal constituency  in People Democratic Party (PDP) election primary on Sunday, said he walked out because the faces of deligates he saw were strange to him. Asogwa made the allegation at the newly built Nsukka stadium the venue of the primary on Sunday while speaking with newsmen. He said he would not participate in the  primary because faces of deligates that would vote were  strange and not delegates elected by PDP in congress. " I will not participate in this primary , l am walking away because it appears somebody somewhere have produce new list of delegates to meet his purpose.
